The train system connected to the airport is so incredibly convenient and simple to use, that it’s difficult to find a reason not to opt for this affordable option. Additional advantages include comfortable and spacious seats, luggage space, free Wi-Fi on board the train and at the stations, and power outlets so you can charge your devices while on board.
Scheduling and location train YYZ
The UP Express departs every 15-30 minutes to downtown Toronto, running 7 days a week. The trip takes a mere 25 minutes, making this method of transportation definitely the fastest. The convenience of the UP Express extends to the many ways one can purchase a ticket. If you’re planning ahead for your trip, the best way to go about this would be to book a ticket online on the UP Express website or phone application.
Even if you find yourself at the airport without a pre-booked train ticket, the process is still just as simple and feasible. Simply head to one of the nearest kiosks or ticket vending machines around any of the train stations and purchase a ticket there directly. Tickets can also be purchased at customer service counters.
Getting to the nearest station is no rocket science either. Just follow the signs and directions, often under the “Train to City” phrase. The train can be accessed without having to leave the airport at all. If you’re in Terminal 3, however, make sure to get to Terminal 1 first, which can be done using yet another easy-to-use train, which is the Terminal Link Train, which happens to be completely free.
